What happened to the Times Square payphone that was visible from a webcam?

For many years the EarthCam.com web site had a camera pointed directly at a couple of payphones in Times Square. At the corner of 47th Street and Broadway these payphones held a particular fascination for people who thought they might be able to call that payphone and see who answered.

Alas, it may have been possible at one time but based on my research it had been impossible for years to make inbound calls to those phones.

The payphones are still there. The camera was removed.

As far as I know there are no other public telephones visible from a live webcam.
